Okay, after a lot of headaches I've finally got this hair mesh worked out. The grey color for the elder is only included in the black hair color, so you need to use that if you want this to work on elders at all. (The other colors are part of the same "family", so they share it automatically.) This hair combines the Nightlife vampire hair with the bangs from the page hair, which I have made extra long to suit my own preferences. If you want this hair without the bangs, VETTY has made that here:

You can shorten the fringe on this hair or modify it as you like, but my version of this hair won't look right if you remove it entirely as it isn't lined up as nicely at the forehead as VETTY's.

I'm pretty happy with the way this came out, especially with the animation. The recolors could be improved -- they're still very Maxis-like -- but I need a break from this project and thus I don't think I'll do that myself.

I spent many, many hours fruitlessly trying to figure out why my toddler hair developed holes when viewed at a distance. That is a common problem with meshes that have missing vertices, but this one is fine. Eventually, I tested every custom toddler mesh in my game and realized that every single one of them that is longer than a Maxis toddler hair mesh has the same flaw, something I had never noticed before. If all those well-respected hair meshers can put up with it, I can too. Just be aware of the issue:

Polygon Counts:
1162 triangles for the adult and teen meshes (each), 1192 for child, and 1064 for the toddler; all are combined into one 426 kb package file
