While reading a section of my Environmental Land Use Planning textbook- "Coastal Zone Hazard Mitigation", I became inspired to create yet another coastal home for my sims... but this time, ON STILTS! Now your coastal (or floodplain) dwelling simmies can be in line with local building and land use ordinances! Yippee!

Reinforced storm windows! Hurricane-resistant shingles! Foundation weighted in concrete 40 feet below ground! Corrosion resistant materials! Unbelievable low price! Hurray!

This starter home costs 16,588 simoleans and includes stealth stairs and an outdoor shower, so your sims can wash off the sand when returning from the beach. Enjoy the festival of obscure land-use geekiness. The pines are not Loblolly, but you can pretend.

Expansion Packs:
This lot does not require Uni in any way. However, since I recently installed Nightlife (after creating this lot), the default game installer might be fussy. I am pretty certain that if you use the sims2pack Clean Installer instead you won't have any problems. You do need to have NL, however, to use this lot, since there have been some changes in the way the .package files work.

Included Custom Content:
This lot uses a default maxis desert texture that was pulled from the game files by fantasy sims- www.twilightfantasy.com/sims

There is also a ground texture created by cyclonesue of MTS2 that came with one of her uploaded lots, with a note that we may use it however we like. For this reason, there is no link available.
