Hello, I think it might be a good idea to use a more up to date version of a Crafting Enabler Mod (like srsly's Cooking Overhaul mod, or the Food and drink associations Drink and Food mods), or include something like a cookbook for your recipes to show up and be creatable, like Littlebowbubs cookbooks, or Brazunlotus' Cookbook, both do this to bypass the mods like the Cooking Overhaul, or other mods that enable custom recipes. I only say this because Andrew's Crafting Enabler is seriously outdated, it hasn't apperantly been updated since seasons, and we've had several big patchs and several recipes and cooking mechanics and overhauls added to the game by maxis/ea which always breaks custom recipes.

Hey there, thanks for those suggestions! I agree that I should probably add in some kind of cookbook to allow this to work independently without any strict dependencies, for users that prefer that. Just need to figure out how to go about setting one up.

As for Andrew's Crafting Enabler being outdated, I didn't realise how badly it was aside from the year it last got updated. Shows how new to the modding scene I am 🙃
But anyways, I appreciate those suggestions. I may look into compatibility for SCCO afterwards.

I think Godzilla-Force meant that you should create your own "cookbook" item to go for your recipes. But if you're not able to make your own, I may also suggest Occult Recipebook by Tianasims, which sims more fitting in my opinion.

Sorry if that sentence didn't come across right, but yeah I meant & agreed with making my own custom cookbook object to enable making the custom recipes from there.

Also, thanks for that suggestion! I might still see if I can make that cookbook first since I think I should first focus on making this mod able to operate on its own in some capacity. But I'll see how it goes.

Finally my vamps are getting some much needed attention, thank you! Now Caleb will actually have receipes for himself, since he's a foodie after all. Thanks again!

French Traduction Hello, thank you for your mods, a little cooking for vampires is a great idea! I'm going to talk about it on our French-speaking forum, so I've translated it for my subscribers, to make it easier to use in-game. It would be kind of you to include these translations in your mod, please, thank you. luniversims.fr mods team Link

Apologies for the late reply, and thank you so much for providing french translation for this! For the next update to this, I'll look into including your translations and will credit you for the work 😸
Just a heads up, there'll be more recipes incoming. Currently debating over including them as part of this mod, or separating them out into an additional mod.

More food options for my Vampires! They subsisted on only plasma fruits and Sims' blood because well, they had no food recipes for their culture!

Would you consider adding plasma options to the banquet table drink fountains? or maybe the big cauldrons from Realm of Magic? I live for pack integration.

So, not saying never, but I might not do the cauldron idea for now.
At most, I may look into the recipe-esq interaction for, say, plasma soup later down the line with cauldrons. But maybe not potions (plus, there's plenty of compact thirst-filling items, and Zero's got potion versions of the vampire cocktails).

Drink fountains though, I'll take a look & see if I can get it working. No promises, as it was suggested to Zero as well before and he seemed interested in doing it, so I do wonder if there's a reason he didn't get it working.
If I do get it working though, I'll let you know

I also want to try & get the Wedding Stories' tea set working with a plasma tea, though that one's looking especially complicated.

Thank you for the update! There's not nearly enough occult food mods!

I'm having a bit of difficulty getting this to work, I've got BOTH of the additional mods you say are optional to make this work, but the recipes still do not show up either under the fridge or in the tome. Is there some combination of vampire lore + cooking skill required for the options to first appear? I figured I'd still get the interactions even if some recipes were locked, but maybe not.

That's right, your vampire sim (or any sim, really, I think) still needs at least lvl 9 vampire lore in order to display the plasma recipes at all.
It's the same level needed to unlock EA's original plasma salad recipe.
Technically, no additional cooking level required to display, at least for the 'homestyle' cooking plasma recipes.

When the vampire lore level condition isn't met, the option will not display on the fridge or on the book.
I originally wanted to grey out at least the options in the pie menu when you don't have enough vampire lore, in a similar way going into the upgrade option without the relevant Handiness skill will grey it out. But, I haven't figured out how to do that successfully.

After that, your sim will need to level their cooking or gourmet cooking in order to display harder difficulty recipes. Recipes of higher difficulty won't display until your sim has the relevant levels, similar to how EA's recipe unlocking works.
