attatching MD5 sums to uploads

Date Posted: 17th Mar 2008 at 1:10 PM

a few people may have problems downloading and extracting the rars, particularily when their cache is full. Windows has a habit of cutting downloads short in the case where your cache is near full, resulting in an incomplete download. For this reason, i'm now making a habit of attatching an MD5 sum to my uploads. these random-looking numbers and letters will be seen at the bottom of the thread. Use a program like WinMD5Sum to verify that the hashes in the files match the ones on the uploads. If they don't match, this could mean an incomplete download. The MD5 hash is unique to the file contents, and will never change no matter what computer you look at it on. For even more info, look here.
