Great idea!

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html

this should be a global mod because you don't have to buy anything in the catalog to activate it. from what it looks like, you just added another menu option to calculate all the compost on the lot. am i correct?

[edit] i'm going to take the liberty to move to "global mods" because you don't need to buy anything from the catalog to activate it. plus, i tested it and it works!

Thank you another great mod of yours I have on hand now. This is another time saving device, so many things the time factors in game seem to be rediculously high on, considering how much time they have to get everything done in.

I did not add a pie menu entry. All I did was setting up an additional "Set Next Compost Bin" loop within the existing function to check the lot for further compost bins, and if found any, I added their data to variables Local3, Local4, and Local5 (Local0 - Local2 are used in the original function). You are right in some way that it affects all lots, but since this feature is connected to the compost bin, I thought it would fit better into "Object Mods". But actually, it doesn't really matter

The car is the "Fiat Punto", available from the EA Games Homepage of your country. You maybe have to search in their archive to find it, and you need to be registered with EA or Maxis to download it. It comes in a dark blue. Numenor made it recolorable; check his pages on this site to see all the recolors for it.

Because it affects all lots without having to buy an object from the catalog to make it work, I consider this to be a "global mod" because it happens in the background. To me, "object mods" are cloned objects with new functionality (different from the original) or completely new objects with a mishmash of actions/functions.

And to me, "object mods" were mods related to any object. I'll gladly take your explanation for further uploads. Thanks!
