This may just be me, but I'm afraid I don't understand what the mod -does- to the clothes. Does it move them to another category or removes them from view completely?

It moves them to another category. Sorry if this wasn't clear.

Oooo, this is great! I hate when toddlers run around all day in pjs.
I'll be downloading this as soon as they're back up - Thank you!

This is excellent, thank you! But just to clarify-- if I don't download your Seasons edit file, am I still able to use your other ones with fanseelamb's Outerwear mod since they aren't affecting the same clothes?

Sorry if this is a silly question.

No, they are more than likely affecting the same clothes. I catagorized the clothes by which expansion pack they came out with. I'd be willing to bet that fanseelamb and I overlapped.

Actually, you bring up a valid point. I don't know what happens if you don't have Seasons. I know in the base game one I've moved some clothes to outerwear.

EDIT: I've changed the compatibility now, I'm pretty darn sure you need seasons. Otherwise, your 'outwear' clothes will just be missing from your catalog. Or it might do something worse, I dunno. If anyone wants to test that theory, because they don't want to see all their coats at all, be my guest. But don't say I didn't warn you. If this doesn't do anything but make them disappear, then I would strongly suggest to everyone in this situation to still download it and only use the toddler edits. See the pictures. Your pjs would look like whats above (and all of those would be missing from everyday) and you wouldn't have any of the clothes in the outwear picture at all. (Goodbye animal suits!)

Hey, I like those mods and now I will try yours. But in the end everyone has own ideas what to put where. So do you know if there is a tutorial somewhere how to move/hide/show maxis clothes? I would like to do my own version.
But anyway, thanks!

The tutorial I found most helpful was how to unlock the hidden clothing. You have to extrapolate on it a bit, but its the same process. Instead of changing a clothings 'flags' you change the category number.

You can put these files in your Downloads folder, but if you do, the delete button will be enabled in CAS and Body Shop. They will also not move the clothing and it will all be treated as custom content.

Could you explain what you mean by "not move the clothing"? Do you mean that it doesn't move it to the new category? But then that doesn't make sense.

FYI, you forgot to delete the .bak files from the Base game upload.

If you place it in your downloads folder instead of the Bins folder, it won't remove the clothing from the old category, just add it to the new one. And yeah, about the .bak, sometimes I forget about it. You don't need it, just delete it.

Does one of these banish the icky little tuxedos to formal-wear? It's strange that the game will only acknowledge formal and swimwear for toddlers once you change something to those catogories in simpe. Clearly they were programed to exist anyway.

No, I didn't move those, I was thinking about it, but there is no way to change a toddlers outfit to formal (without using boolProp) yet. I was working on modding the changing table to include that, but I've yet to have much success with it. When I get that working, I will release a version that addresses the toddler formal outfits.

I put it in the Bins folder, yet some of the items that have been 'moved' are showing up in both categories. The toddler clothes seemed to have moved properly, but, there is a little girl's dress/coat with boots that is now showing up in the outdoor category, but yet Maxis assigned it as an everyday dress when a toddler aged.

Were some items just supposed to appear in both categories?

Is it in your highest EP bins folder? Does the outfit you mentioned actually show up in the catalog in both places, or just when a toddler ages it picks one of the things that should be moved?

Firstly, thanks for these mods!

Secondly, I understand the whole "conflicting" deal with other clothing-mover mods, but am I okay to use ones for Family Fun, Glamor Life & HM Fashions (also from MTS2) as your mods don't seem to "cover" those SPs?

right, I don't have any of the stuff packs, so i didn't include them here! As long as the only clothes those mods move are actually from the stuff packs and they didn't add in any 'bonus' ones from eps then you will be fine. technically, these types of mods don't really 'conflict' with each other anyways. having more than one won't make your computer explode or anything. the only thing that will happen if one clothes is assigned to two different places through these types of mods, its anyone's guess which category that article of clothing will actually show up in.

Yey! I got Seasons a week ago and have just installed this mod. It works great! I love the moved athletic wear, and was ecstatic to see more than one mesh avaliable in the girl's formal wear category. :D

Thank you so much, I've never understood what EA is thinking with putting certian clothes in certian catagories. This makes much more sense!
