No I haven't, but I see dark reflections of the relationship between Rossetti and the red-haired Elizabeth Siddal ("Beata Beatrix"). This presumeably accidental pairing of Dante's Beatrix with Faust's Gretchen becomes intriguing...

Ha, ha! You should see my German - what German? It is wonderful that people from all over the world are at MTS2. Welcome to the forums - I see you joined quite recently.

Beata Beatrix was perhaps Rossetti's most popular work during his day, and I am sure the painting was very close to his heart. Yes, the painting is both mysterious and mystic.

August 9th, 2015 Framing Correction

Probably because of the increased resolution, I noticed today that there has always been an apparent break in the wooden frame. This release corrects the wooden frame textures.
