these are just fantastic! I've already put them to use in my 'hood, creating a long river. Looks awesome with macarossi's Pond in July set.

If you're ever stuck for an idea and want plenty of kudos, I'd like to suggest an animated tile for gently flowing water, for use in streams and lakes/ponds. :D

Now this is what I call cool. Thank you for making this. I'm going to have to try this out when I get home from work tonight. Question though, can these be included with lots for uploading here? I just got up and am not quite awake yet so I might have missed this question already.

I know this will be very useful in the future, so I am gladly downloading it now. My favorite aspect is the animated flowing river. Fabulous idea. I can't wait to see if you can master the smaller version or even the animated tile as abitha suggested. Nevertheless, thank you for these wonderful creations.

Awesome! How about some mild moving rippling effects? Maxis offers some animations of ripple effects but only during fishing. You rock!

Let me know if you use any of my recolors in a story, video, etc. I'd like to see it!

Sorry, I don't really understand you. You mean it doesn't work with Free Time? That would be a great pity, are there other Free Time useres who can confirm dingo's experience? I don't have FT but it works with Base Game only and also with BV without any problems.

Yeah, this set is absolutely amzing, as you can se I used it for decoration, too.
I also planned to make an animation for lakes or ponds, let's see if I'll do it later, it's a bit tricky...
P.S.. I really rejoice in all your nice comments !

Yay colours!!! Since I have it on my laptop, the water is gray. Only blue when I look down on it... But these are really amazing! And it fits everywhere! I'm going to use these ALOT

I also know the problem with the blue streaks while zooming, it occurs because of the little distance between my mesh and the water surface. If this distance was bigger we'd have problems at the borders of your ponds and so I decided to leave it like this. The scratches shouldn't be very disturbing, you only see them from some strange perspectives and they disappear easily.

I found that it does not allow you to click on the water for interactions with seasons or freetime for fishing.
because it is just on top of the water line.
if it could be set to just below the waterline or click through somehow would be good.
minor inconvenience.

Yes, that seems to be a problem...
But I can't place it below the water surface because then the colour wouldn't be there anymore.
Perhaps I'll find a way to make it possible to click the water with the planes on it, otherwise you'd just have to make a special pond for fishing without colour

To fix for fishing, you might want to reduce the clickable area? This may make it difficult to pick up, but if you were to make a small visible object (like a rock, maybe?) within the clickable area... that could help.

I'd just like my Sims to be able to try fishing in muddy water XD

Jon I can't say enough thanks merci, danke

This is something I always wanted to have, because downloading that hack that colors all water in the hood wasn't so interesting - now I have the free choice, what a great thing so I can do something asian or elvenlike with them without loosing the normal pondwater elsewhere, and that riverthing is just too sweet!

Thank you oh and really I am curious, some people here had other nice ideas, if you will go for those, they all sound great.

Wow, Jon, what a great download! The pond water colours are wonderful - I especially love that beautiful green, so great for special themes - and the animated river blew me away. Such an original idea.

I, too, have only gray water unless I look down on it from above, but in my case it is because I am running it on a PC with only the graphics controller, so no good visual effects. At least now, thanks to you, I can have prettily coloured ponds and pools and lakes :)

I have FreeTime, but I think that setting aside one particular spot for fishing is a small thing to do in order to enjoy your wonderful "watercolours".

Thank you so much,

I didn't know the grey water problem before and so I was really surprised and glad that I could help all these people .
I planned this download long before I was able to mesh or make animated textures. For me water is just a wonderful thing for every garden.

Thanks jon119, I could use them for my storytelling

2. Words...after they're spoken
3. Chance...after it's passed
