Male Sims use toilets standing most of the time

This makes it more realistic.

Do you know if this will interfere with any of the other toilet hacks (I'm assuming they're also global hacks), specifically ones made by TwoJeffs or J.M. Pescado? TwoJeffs made some where you have to wash your hands after using the toilet and Pescado has a bathroom controller.

Oh. This is great. This makes the game more real! I mean, what guys would sit peeing? Except little kids ^.^;

daysies, to know exactly I need to look at those hacks. I'll try to find them... Or could you post the links please?

I'll get them for you... but being that you're asking for them leads me to believe you didn't test your hack with them - which is fine - as you are not responsible for making them compatible with existing hacks. But don't be alarmed when you are asked.

I was wondering the exact same thing. I'm wondering if this mods bhavs that Pescado's bathroom controller would call. So... theoretically, it might not conflict in that sense. However... as of yet, I have not been able to get the bathroom controller to recognize the standing urinals. I don't know if that's just me or if that affects everyone. I think Pescado is looking into it. My guess is probably that the controller would override anyways and force the sim to use the objects that it can recognize, which for now seems to only be sittable toilets.

As for TwoJeffs' hack, again speculating, but since I don't think it affects the actual use of toilets, it probably won't conflict. But what the heck do I know. Hehe. I suppose I could actually open it up and compare BHAVs, but I'm too lazy to do that. :P

You're so silly! :P

Well, I don't know either, but it was worth a shot to ask. I don't know the first thing about what makes them not work with each other, but it didn't hurt to ask.

daysies, yes, my hack will interfere with all versions of the TwoJeffs' hack. They use just the same BHAV.
As for the Pescado's bathroom controller, it is not a hack, it's a hacked object... As far as I can understand without testing in game. And the hacked objects usually don't interfere with anything, they don't use the group numbers from Objects.package...

Thanks for taking the time to check that out.

Also, you might want to update your first post to indicate that. Some people may have downloaded those hacks in the past and have forgotten they were there.

Yay!!!!!! Thank you so much for fulfilling this request!!! :D

OK, so when you say it interferes with twojeff's hack... what does that mean, exactly? Will one of the hacks not work or will the whole game crash horribly? I use the hands-washing hack but would probably choose to delete that one and keep this one if they're not compatible. Guess I'll go test it and let you know what happens. Would it be very hard to add in something to this hack that makes the sims pee standing and then go wash their hands? I like all my sims (especially the neat freaks omg) to wash their hands after usin' the loo.

TwoJeffs' hack is a global hack, which means it uses a Maxis GUID. This hack uses the same GUID so it can also affect *all* toilets (*all* = global hack). So if you can only use this hack or one of TwoJeffs hacks. Using both will cause your game to spontaneously combust (or your lot can get corrupted).

Well, I really don't know if something terrible can happen. Is seems to me the game will read only one of the hacks and ignore the other, and that's all, but I didn't check that, so I can't be sure. It is not the GUID conflict, only objects have GUID's, not the global hacks. Those hacks use the same BHAV, with the same group and instanse numbers - that's the problem.
Of course, it's possible to combine all features in the one hack, but it should be discussed with the author I think...

OK, I just tested it with both hacks (this one & twojeff's hand washing one) in place. I used male sims of all ages who realllly needed to pee. Happily, they stood most of the time... but sadly, they didn't wash their hands. There were no firey crashes or anything though, so that's good. I'll remove the hand washing hack anyway just to be safe. Combining them would be awesome, but I understand if you just don't feel like it. I'm actually kind of inspired to try it myself, but of course won't post anything (assuming I get it to work, LOL) without your and twojeffs' permission.

Edit: Yeah um, I just opened both hacks in SimPE and they're more complex than I anticipated. :argh: I thought it might just be a case of copying the last line of one hack and pasting it into the other. LOL. Silly me. Guess I won't be editing them myself after all.

fanseelamb, my hack is much more primitive, than the Twojeffs' one and besides it has only one version. That's why it would be better, if Twojeffs adds my changes, not vice versa...

fanseelamb, I'll try to help you, but don't you think it would be better to discuss it in PM? This thread is not the best place for hacking tutorials. :D

Aaah, at last, in combo with some of the realistic anatomy around and no censorgrid, 'pointing percy at the porcelain' becomes a life-like experience
