Actually, I was just now looking for a good short haircut for one of my sims that wouldn't be the same haircut as another sim in that family (I find it gets annoying to have two sims be even vaguely the same... ^^;'') and this will do /wonderful/.

More specifically, the missing brown hair is the one on the middle of the pictures you provided.

hi these are great and i am going to use them for resputia ( http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php? ) !! lol.. but for some reason when i went to download the recolours it came up with an error! why do you think this is?

aw, i love this! i'm completely fed up with all my simmie girls having long hair, as i have very short hair myself, so this is a welcome change ^-^
it kinda reminds me of Jean Seberg, too...very nice!

Thank you! I wear my hair that short, and it's not easy finding attractive, realistic hairstyles of this length. I particularly like the salt and pepper look, since my hair is starting to look like that (naturally!), and I am NOT an elder, thank you very much!

For those of you having trouble with the recolour rar, try right clicking and select "save link as". That fixed it for me.
