You know, I could never figure out why Maxis didn't put a lava lamp in. Afterall, what college frat boy's room is complete without one? I will download it and try it out today

I really like these glowing lava lamps.
Update: July 2009-I am back now to make invisible and tranparent recolors again in sims 2. You can pm me if you want your objects to be invisible and transparent from now.

Sorry purplemuffin, theres no animation in the lava. I would have liked it to move but sadly I have absolutly no idea how to animate objects yet, though when I do will probably make an animated version too :D

I didn't consider creating any other colours as I'm not 100% sure but I think it would require custom lighting (to add the colour to the light) and thats another subject I need to learn alot more about before adding the idea to an upload. though if this is wrong and custom lighting is not needed to make the lamp blue then feel free to make a blue recolour as I haven't the time due to starting my next project as we speak

Very Cool ! Perfect For All ages ! Teens ( Rooms ) Uni Students ( Dorms) Eliable Bacholours , Even Hip old Grannies ! I Like this ! I will go on Now and Use it ! Let me know when you make the animated version it would be really good to get it moving , but i completely understand that you can't do it at the moment , cause you got to learn ! I am with you ! I have NO CLUE what so ever to make meshes , objects etc! I am just learning to ! ! Anyway Remember to do the Animated Because it would be GREAT !

Neat0! I like this one better than an animated one I saw ;P Have you considered coloring the fluid too? My lava lamp in my room has pink wax and purple fluid. Thanks for this, there is a shortage of lava lamps in Simworld!
