Wow, I never even realised there where twigs and leaves in the jar before because of how similar the colours are to the original butterflies.

Thankyou for all of your replies, it is a very simple recolour so if you wanted to make your own unique butterflies, it's very easy.

So very, very pretty. Much better than the originals. I think I was suffering from 'yellow butterfly' fatigue. These will be a great addition to my game.

weird... I was just thinking about having a replacement only yesterday. thanks a bunch!

I'd also love to have more versions of this (like pink, or multi-colored if it's possible)

is it possible to recolor it using this recolor/replacement as a base (changing only the texture using simpe)? (I'm heavily into recoloring infant outfit replacements made by Bloom over at Insimenator.net).

Yes- feel free to recolour this file. There are just two textures- the main butterfly wing and the 'dead' butterfly- all you need to do is to use the 'Build DXT' function to import your own texture.

Ha! easy for you maybe! not so easy for dorks like me, that's why I "download" and not "make" or "recolour."

Haha, you discredit yourself, Gareth! Take a look at the file in SimPE, it really is simple. It would make a great first modding exercise for anyone!
