This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Pets
Default Uni and Nightlife texture display issue
I`ve recently reinstalled The Sims 2 and most of the EPs up to Bon Voyage. It seems that there is a disply issue with textures form the University and Nightlife EP`s, meaning that the actual texture rendered in the game is replaced with a default texture containing the name of the mesh it`s suposed to be aplied to. This only happens when the game is set to High or Medium Texture detail. I`ve already reinstalled the game once and reinstalled the display driver using even an older version of the current nvidia driver, to no avail. Graphic settings are set to "Aplication controlled" so this shouldn`t be an issue. I`m really out of ideas... and I really don`t want to play it in low detail.

If you have the 'newspaper print' in your game that shows that some texture files are missing or corrupted- it has nothing to do with your graphics card. The reason that the game works in low quality is that it is only the higher quality textures which are missing. If you are sure that these issues only occur with the Uni and NL EPs then you could manually replace the texture files, but a better solution may be just to reinstall those EPs altogether as it is possible that other files are incomplete too.
First, check your disc cleanliness:
http://www.modthesims2.com/wiki.php...#Clean_the_Disk
If you'd like to reinstall, then backup your Userdata and uninstall Uni and NL:
http://www.modthesims2.com/wiki.php..._Help:Uninstall
Be sure to manually check that all Uni and NL files are deleted from Program Files/ EA Games before reinstalling them.
If your disc is damaged or scratched, a local install can help:
http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cf...li=&p_topview=1
If you'd like to attempt manually copying the files, then you need to look on your Uni and NL discs for the correct files. The relevant files should be in a file called compressed.zip. The files you are looking for are:
objects00.package to objects09.package
Sims00.package to Sims13.package
Textures.package
Objects.package
You need to put the objects00.package to objects09.package files, the Sims00.package to Sims13.package files and Textures.package into Program files/ EA Games/ The Sims 2 University/ TSData/ Res/ 3D or Program files/ EA Games/ The Sims 2 Nightlife/ TSData/ Res/ 3D respectively (be sure to get the Uni files from the Uni disc and the NL files from the NL disc!). The Objects.package file goes into program files/ EA Games/ The Sims 2 University or Nightlife/ TSData/ Res/ Objects. Again get the right files there! You can see why it's easier just to reinstall.
