Test Results=Perfect.
These are great for creating effects for labs, darkrooms or just about anything.I haven't seen these on any other forum or website but ModTheSims2.That's what makes this website numero uno.Everything new and cool is found here first, not to mention it's all free, unlike some other unmentionable money grabbing websites.Tips hat to you and everyone that contributes something here.Delphy's website cannot be matched.

Thanks, PinkFloyd I think MTS2 is a great site as well - everything I've learned about modding (I started only a little while ago) has been from this site.

shaythong8,

These are completely separate objects from the other lamps in the game -they appear in addition to the other lights, they do not replace anything. Also, they do not affect the color of the light that other lamps give off - all the other lamps besides these will still give white light. I made sure that these would use "independent" colors; this is what allows you to mix and match lighting effects. The only issue with affecting existing lights is with the "cheap" ceiling lamp, as noted above.

For other modders who'd like to change light settings of lamps, I've posted a mini tech discussion/tutorial on how to change light color and intensity for custom lamp objects in the General Modding forum. Link is here:

Object has been updated; the lamps will no longer affect the cheap ceiling lamp or each other if one is selected in the catalog. Unfortunately, this means you can no longer create trippy effects such as green-hued objects in a violet room

Now that I've figured out the basic process, I plan on making a version for spotlights and on posting a basic tutorial in the Tutorial forum. As always, let me know if you encounter problems,

J.

Could you make some that are softer? For example a soft pink would be very romantic.

I think it is so cool that when putting 2 different colored lights in the same room you get another color. VIOLET is my fav! Thank you they work with no problem.

At risk of being the only complainant here(please don't hit me), I have found that, while the green and blue lights are perfect, the red one is far too severe.

Here and there it tends not so much to bathe objects in a red tint, rather it daubs a flat red over parts of objects, completely removing any trace of their natural colour.

Just thought you might want to know.

Apart from that, these lights rule. And, as I say, the green and blue work perfectly.
