Default Hair mesh help needed.
I've been working on a new hair mesh, and I’m having a problem with parts of the hair looking transparent (looks white in pictures). If anybody knows how to fix this it’d be a huge help.

what you will need to do:
ps:. Make sure that you have the latest version of SimPE.

Open the Mesh hair package with SimPE;
Select "Geometric Data Container";
Go to Plugin View and select the Groups Tab;
In the field Opacity you will need to change each
value for each group:

hair: Opacity= 0xFFFFFFFF
hairalpha17: Opacity= 0x00000011
hairalpha15: Opacity= 0x0000000F
hairalpha13: Opacity= 0x0000000D
hairalpha11: Opacity= 0x0000000B
hairalpha9: Opacity= 0x00000009
hairalpha7: Opacity= 0x00000007
hairalpha5: Opacity= 0x00000005
hairalpha3 Opacity= 0x00000003

After made all those changes, hit commit first and then go to File/Save.

If you have doubts about the process, go look into
this thread for some good informations:

I have a problem lately with meshes that when I try to fix them using that process, it still doesn't work. It annoys me to no end and I don't know what else to fiddle with to get it to show up properly.

hmm... it took me a little while to figure the whole thing out myself (didn't really understand) but I got it eventually. Maybe if I can exlpain it in my own words it will be easier to understand:
1.) Open your mesh file, click "geometric data container", click "plugin view" tab, click "items 3" tab.
2.) Click on your inner-most layer alpha (there should be 2)
(If you using milkshape you can check to see which parts of your mesh belong to which alphas, by going into the groups tab [there's 2 alphas per peice of you mesh]. Click on an alpha and press select. It should apear red on your model. Now just remember that order they're all in)
3.) Change the opacity of "both" innermost alphas to 0x00000001
4.) for the next 2 aphas out, change the opacity to 0x00000002.
5.) for the next 2 out, 0x00000003 and so on.
(Some of the larger numbers are represented differently so check the original thread) I could be wrong on some things too but this is what worked for me.
Hope this will help

Oh I don't actually mesh. I was just referring to meshes I've downloaded that looked bad due to transparency issues. I've fixed most of them in SimPE and it solved the problem but there are several that it didn't help any and I don't know what else to do with them. I thought about trying to start meshing but I was just reading a tutorial on here and it sounds extremely difficult lol
