I have this and alot of the other recolours for the holysmoke stairs but they aren't showing up in my game, any idea why??

Did you use the design mode tool. When you see the holy smokes stairs select them and put them where ever you want then you go to the left of the of the screen where you select the stairs look for the design mode tool and use to select one of the stairs steps and a screen will come up telling you what color you want to use.
