Whats your poly count on this, it is mandatory for all new mesh uplaods to include that info.

How many polygons you used in makign this mesh. The game has certain limits that it can handle or it will slow games down dramatically

Your polygon count = 4032 ...which is very high for a single tile object.

You can see the number of polygons by looking in the GMDC (plugin View) in SimPe.

Open SimPe, load your new object and then:

Click Geometric Data Container in the left window (1.- see pic)

Click Geometric Data Container in the right window (2.- see pic)

You will see the number of polygons displayed as faces....

When making a new object you should be able to keep an eye on the polygon count from inside your 3D editing software package... (check the help file of your program for 'polygon count' or 'face count' to find out how).

It's best to keep checking as you go along rather than wait until you have made your object and then find that it has far too many faces.

The polygon guide we are all working towards is:

less than 800 polygons (per tile) = low = GOOD for game performance
800 -1500 (per tile) = OK (normal game performance)
more than 1500 (per tile) = HIGH = BAD for game performance

so you can see that 4032 is way above the 1500 maximum for a single tile occupying object.

However, Please, don't be put off making objects by this discovery. (You'll soon learn that part of the 'fun' in making objects is trying to keep within these limits...and still have a nice, smooth looking object.)

I hope this helps,

Bob

very nicely done we need more chandaliers for the game

That's pretty good for a first mesh. My first mesh is similar to this one.
