Thanks so much, Luthien! Your kind words mean a lot to me.

No, I tried doing the 45degree cheat and it does not work. Siudada uploaded a house here last week, I think, which has a sideways driveway and in the thread he left a link for his little tutorial: http://thesims2.ea.com/mysimpage/my...user_id=1796323

I originally wanted to just put garages in the back of my lots so that I could center the houses but for this southern style, the circular driveway seemed appropriate.

Hi again,

Thank you for the link to the tutorial Nigel I'm going to have to start playing with that. I came back to say the details on your garden is wonderful. My sims looks like they're taking a stroll out of the pages of "House and Garden" magazine.

So the driveway is really placed like this: l_l ? I dont really see how horizontal driveways translate into slanted ones...

I'd love to know how you did it.

Thanks for the supportive replies, Neefers and idtaminger!

The 45 degree parts are just regular brick flooring that matches the brick of the two main driveway sections connecting to the street and one "connecting" section at 90 degrees in front of the house. You can see in the driveway closeup pic that the colour of the brick does not quite match.

Wow - I love this one - I already grabbed it from the Exchange - it is indeed a very stately and beautiful home, it's got that warm, coziness that I am addicted to and I love what you have done with the landscaping -although you have an unfair advantage in that area

The driveway also looks fantastic - what a great idea might borrow that one

It's another fantastic lot Dave !!

Cheers,
nina

I tried following the tutorial and I can't get the driveway to turn. I tried to remove the yellow square and replace it. Have move_objects cheat enabled. Any ideas?
